Team Approach
An outstanding team of human service professionals carry out the goals and objectives of Hope House. The executive director cultivates relationships with community leaders and works closely with the staff and the board of directors to improve and expand programs. An eight member board of directors oversees all operations at Hope House. The board monitors and reviews the financial health of the organization, supports the evaluation of programs and promotes Hope House through public relations and fundraising efforts. The board determines mission and agency direction and selects and evaluates the executive director.
Executive director Thomas Duffly joined Hope House in 1994. He was employed for 30 years as a construction engineering manager for NYNEX and spent ten years engaged in private market rate residential development. He was a member and president of the Hope House board of directors before accepting his current position in 1999. He is a dynamic leader and his breadth of knowledge and experience, along with his deep attachment to Hope House, has proved invaluable to our continued growth.
